フローレス島 ダイビング情報 　 East Flores diving information

フローレス島からアロール島にかけてはインドネシアで最も複雑な形状の列島が連なり多くのチャネルが存在する。これらのチャネルは 貫流水量Throuhgflow of Waterが強大で多くの栄養分が通過していく。流れの早いチャネルは太平洋とインド洋を行き来するクジラの通り道になっている。Lembata島の南には伝統的なホエールハンティングの集落であるLamalerlaという集落がある。。
ラブハンバホとアロール間にはダイビングサービスはないのでダイビングクルーズでのアクセスとなる

チャネルに多くの離れ小島がありそこから伸びる、Ridge リッジ(背）を中心に潜ることになる。Anthias,Fusilier,Bannerfishが群れるリーフにはナポレオン、バラクーダ、イーグルレイ、イソマグロ、ロウニンアジ、ブラックチップシャークが回ってくる。バンブーシャーク、wobbegong shark（オオセ）も見れることもある。島々の黒砂のビーチは恰好のマックダイビングポイントになっており、Rhinopias(ボロカサゴ),Catshark,Blue ribboneel (ハナヒイゲウツボ）と遭遇する可能性が大。南コモドでしか見れないと言われているシーアップルも数多く生息している。

ナイトダイビング向けのサイトも多くあり、Devil Scorpionfish,Bobrtail squid(ダンゴイカ）などに遭遇出来る。
　フローレス島の南のティモール島の沖にはインドネシア軍が駐屯するBatik 島がある。そこから延びるリッジにはギンガメアジ、ロウニンアジが群れている。北側のリッジにはその下をくぐれる巨大なケーブがあり、中にはBlack Snapper　や Soldier fish が群れている。

The area from Flores to Alor is the most complex archipelago in Indonesia, with many channels. These channels have a high through-flow of water, and many nutrients pass through them. South of Lembata Island is the traditional whale hunting community of Lamalerla. There are no diving services between Labuhanbaho and Alor, so access is by dive cruise. The reefs are teeming with Anthias, Fusilier and Bannerfish, and are frequented by Napoleons, Barracudas, Eagle Rays, Dogtooth Tuna, Giant Jacks and Blacktip Sharks. Bamboo sharks, wobbegong sharks, and wobbegongs. Bamboo sharks and wobbegong sharks can also be seen. The black sand beaches of the islands provide good diving sites for macks, and there is a good chance of encountering Rhinopias (ragged scorpionfish), Catshark, and Blue ribboneel (moray eel).
