ミソール ダイビング情報
アンボンの北のセラム島のさらに北東のサウスラジャアンパットといわれるミソール島は石灰岩質のクラスト地形の複雑な無数の島々が南東部分に広がっている。海域が広く、複雑な形の島々やリーフが入り乱れる海域であり、ここには数多くの小島、ロック、リーフ、隠れ根広がっており、無数のダイビングスポットが点在する。また多くののケーヴも点在している。Misool島の東側の海域は地形も複雑なのでは地形好きのダイバーのにもお薦め。切り立った一枚岩のような壁が続いているユニークな地形がある。水中も美しいソフトコーラルに覆われたキャニオンやピナクルがそこかしこにある。 直径3メートルを超えるゴルゴニアンシーファンが群生し、 他に類を見ない美しい色のサンゴが繁茂しています。
ミソール東部の隠れ根のマジックマウンテンでは最大6ｍにまで成長する外洋性のオニイトマキエイ OceanicManta（Manta birostris）にも遭遇出来る可能性が高いです。

起点のソロンからここまで10時間も以上かかり、海況によりいけないこともあるので長期間のクルーズの乗船がおすすめ。唯一のリゾートであるミソール南東部のミソールエコリゾートまではスピードボートでも4時間ほどかかる。
ソロン発でここを経由し、南に向かいバンダネイラ島を経由してアンボンに向かうクルーズもある。

Misool Island, also known as South Raja Ampat, is the southeastern portion of a myriad of islands with a complex limestone crust topography. The wide expanse of water, with its complex island and reef formations, is home to numerous islets, rocks, reefs, and hidden roots, and is dotted with countless dive sites. The waters on the eastern side of Misool Island are also recommended for divers who like topography, as the terrain is complex. The eastern side of Misool Island has a unique topography with a series of sheer monolithic walls. The water is also covered with beautiful soft corals, canyons, and pinnacles. Gorgonian sea fans over 3 meters in diameter grow in clusters, and corals of unparalleled beauty and color thrive here.
At Magic Mountain, a hidden root east of Mysore, there is a good chance of encountering the pelagic OceanicManta (Manta birostris), which can grow up to 6 meters in length.
