ます、そこからグラブを手配して港まで約１時間。そこで往復のフェリーのチケットを購入します。ペルヘンティアンは大小2つの島からなります。島でもっとも栄えている小さいほうの島（Pulau Perhentian Kecil）のロングビーチまではスピードボートにて40分ほどでつきます。島に点在するいくつかのリゾートのビーチには波止場があり、ボートはそこを回ります。ロングビーチの波止場からホテルやダイビングサービスに行く道は砂浜しかないので荷物は有代にて荷台のついたトラクターで運んてまもらいます。現在、大小二つの島には30軒以上のダイビングサービスがあります。シュノーケリングの聖地といわれるにふさわしい遠浅の海がそこかしこにあり、近くの島Pulau Lang TengahやPulau Redangまでにも行くボートトリップを手配するの店が多数あります。ダイパーはヨーロピアンがほとんどですが最近はマレーシアのローカルダイバーが増えています。日本人をはじめとするアジア人はほとんどいません。

A Snorkeling Mecca for Europeans
Take a domestic flight from Kuala Lumpur—about an hour—to the northeastern city of Kota Bharu. From there, arrange a Grab ride to the port, which takes about an hour. Purchase round-trip ferry tickets at the port. The Perhentian Islands consist of two islands, one large and one small. It takes about 40 minutes by speedboat to reach Long Beach on the smaller island (Pulau Perhentian Kecil), which is the most developed of the two. The beaches of the several resorts scattered across the island have jetties, and the boats make stops at each one. Since the only path from the Long Beach jetty to the hotels and diving services is a sandy beach, your luggage is transported for a fee on a tractor with a cargo bed. Currently, there are more than 30 diving services on the two islands. As befits a place known as a snorkeling mecca, there are shallow waters everywhere, and many shops arrange boat trips to nearby islands such as Pulau Lang Tengah and Pulau Redang. Most divers are European, but recently the number of local Malaysian divers has been increasing. There are almost no Asians, including Japanese.
