Indonesia has a large body of water in the Coral Triangle, and a number of live abroad trips have been spreading around the famous diving area. More than half of the live aboard courses has an easy access to Raja Ampat and Komodo Island, which are the center of the course. For large ships of 30m or more in length, depending on the season, there are many connecting routes from Maumere in the east of Komodo, out of Alor to the open ocean and passing through the Banda Sea via Ambon or Raja Ampat via Sorong or Triton Bay in the west side of New Guinea Island from airport to airport. Due to this, the cruise schedule is quite long, approximately 9-12 nights. In Raja Ampat, there is a course that leaves from the airport in Sorong and return to Sorong. The course is basic, but it can be fun to compare the destinations and dates and find a ship that suits you. The slightly smaller live aboard courses enjoy a 5-day cruise from around the north or south of the Komodo area. This is a cruise that does not voyage on the open sea at night, so it is often calming and easy for people who are prone to seasick to join. Indonesia's sea is dotted with many diving points in a large area, which is more convenient for the live aboard program, excluding Lembeh for macro diving, Ambon, and the Wakatobi regency as they are a resort. Especially in the Banda Sea area, where land base diving is difficult, there is no choice but to choose a live aboard program. A cruise ship is a combination of a hotel and a diving shop, so you can think of it as a hotel with a different tourist destination. If you like the ship, you can choose another unknown course, as such there are many divers who tend to repeat the trip. Even if the cruise has same starting point and end point, the diving site chosen from the large area changes every time, therefore it doesn't feel old or bland no matter how many times you participated in the trip.
